IceCure to Exhibit and Join the Hands-on Cryoablation Sessions at the European Conference on Interventional Oncology (ECIO) 2025

IceCure Medical is excited to be a Silver Sponsor at the European Conference on Interventional Oncology (ECIO) 2025. The conference is taking place from April 13 – April 16, in Rotterdam, Netherlands.

Visit IceCure at Booth 17 for the opportunity to learn about our advanced liquid nitrogen cryoablation technology, the ProSense™ System

ProSenseCryoablation at ECIO 2025

The ProSense™ System generates ultra-cold temperatures quickly to create large lethal zones for maximum efficacy in tumor destruction.

ProSense™ advantages include:

  • Creates large lethal zones using only a single cryoprobe
  • Easy to use interface with the ability to relocate the cryoprobe up to three times per procedure per patient
  • The use of liquid nitrogen also enables the procedure to be conducted outside of the CT room and in the physician’s office, and not necessarily within the confines of the interventional radiology suite as needed with argon-based systems.

Perspectives on Breast Cancer Cryoablation: Interventional Oncologist & Breast Surgeon

Why is a breast surgeon doing cryoablation and what is she doing at ECIO?  What does this mean for the interventional oncologist?

Join IceCure Medical and experts in breast cancer cryoablation for a vibrant discussion on how the two specialties approach the procedure, best practices, and methods to collaborate in the name of patient care on Tuesday, April 15 at 14:00 CEST at booth 17.

Our booth session will feature Prof. Thomas Vogl, Head of the Interventional Radiology Department at the University of Frankfurt and Dr. Sophie Wooldrik, Breast Surgeon at Franciscus Gasthuis & Vlietland in Rotterdam & co-author of the THERMAC study on thermal ablation of breast cancer.

Don’t miss our speakers during their participation in the ECIO scientific sessions. Prof. Vogl will present his abstract “CT-guided cryoablation of primary breast cancer: evaluation of efficacy and safety” during the session “SP 313- IO from neck to bone” on Tuesday, April 15 at 8:30. Dr. Wooldrik is presenting in the “BC 253 – Basic course: breast cancer” being held on Monday, April 14 at 17:00.

Hands On Tumor Ablation – Cold Based Ablation

As part of the ECIO programming, three hands on sessions for tumor ablation – cold based ablation – will be held. This is a unique opportunity for hands on experience with the ProSense™ Cryoablation System in an intimate group setting. Expert users and the IceCure team will participate to share practical information regarding workflow, management of a liquid nitrogen-based system, and device set up.

  • Sunday, April 13 10:30 – 12:00
  • Monday, April 14 10:30 – 12:00
  • Tuesday, April 15 8:30 – 10:00
