Cryoablation uses freezing temperatures to destroy tumors safely
and quickly without the need for surgery.
The necrotic tumor tissue is then absorbed and cleared
from the body by the patient’s immune system.
The Cryoprobe is positioned in the patient under Ultrasound
guidance, much like a needle biopsy.
Unlike in heat-ablation methods, the same Ultrasound is
also used for real-time monitoring of the procedure, allowing
the physician to watch the ice ball engulfing the tumor.
IceCure’s patented cooling technology utilizes low-pressure
liquid nitrogen rather than conventional high-pressure gas,
making it ideal for the office environment.
The result, IceSense™, is a compact system with the fastest cooling capabilities, providing maximal
protection for the skin and surrounding tissue.
